By requesting a quote or engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. NZS Painting provides professional painting services throughout the Wellington region.

Acceptance of Terms

  • By engaging NZS Painting for any services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
  • These terms apply to all quotes, contracts, and services provided by NZS Painting.
  • If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not engage our services.
  • We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, with changes effective upon posting.

Services and Quotes

  • All quotes provided are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
  • Quotes are based on the information provided and may be adjusted if site conditions differ.
  • Final pricing may vary if additional work is required beyond the original scope.
  • We provide services throughout the Wellington region including Wellington, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Porirua, and Kapiti.
  • All work is performed by qualified and experienced painting professionals.

Scheduling and Access

  • Project start dates are confirmed upon acceptance of quote and deposit payment.
  • You must provide safe and reasonable access to the work area.
  • Any delays caused by site access issues may result in schedule changes.
  • We will communicate any expected delays or changes to the timeline promptly.
  • Weather conditions may affect exterior painting schedules.

Payment Terms

  • A deposit may be required for larger projects, typically 20-30% of the quoted price.
  • Final payment is due upon completion of work and your satisfaction.
  • We accept bank transfer, credit card, and other approved payment methods.
  • Overdue payments may incur additional fees as permitted by law.
  • Disputes must be raised within 7 days of project completion.

Warranty and Guarantees

  • We stand behind our workmanship with a comprehensive warranty.
  • Warranty periods vary depending on the type of work performed.
  • Warranty covers defects in workmanship but not normal wear and tear.
  • Paint manufacturer warranties apply separately to paint products used.
  • Warranty claims must be submitted in writing with supporting documentation.

Limitations of Liability

  • Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided.
  • We are not liable for pre-existing defects or conditions not caused by our work.
  • We carry comprehensive insurance for our work and team.
  • Any claims must be made in accordance with our warranty terms.
  • We are not responsible for colour variations due to lighting or monitor differences.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations must be made in writing at least 48 hours before scheduled work.
  • Deposits may be non-refundable if cancellation is made with less than 48 hours notice.
  • If we need to cancel or reschedule, we will provide as much notice as possible.
  • Materials specifically ordered for your project may be non-refundable.

Your Responsibilities

As our client, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about the project scope and requirements
  • Ensure the work area is accessible and reasonably clear
  • Inform us of any known hazards or special considerations
  • Make timely decisions on colour selections and project changes
  • Pay invoices according to the agreed payment terms

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts. We encourage resolution of any issues through direct communication before pursuing legal remedies.
